David's Approach to Counseling

Even though I am a native of Texas, I have a deep appreciation for the city of Frederick and its citizens. I am dedicating my life to the restoration process of this beautiful community. My approach to therapy and life is with sincerity, honesty, and compassion. I created this practice to treat a diverse population of individuals that are suffering from substance abuse addictions and much more. I have treated both children and adults with various mental health diagnoses before entering into the field of substance dependency.  Behavioral complications have always been the area of my expertise, research, and continuing education.  Although I have many years of experience treating a diverse clientele, I specialize in treating behavioral issues that cause addicts to enter and re-enter the criminal justice system. My mission is to enlighten individuals and their family, suffering from addiction, on how to live a fruitful and productive life. 

I will deliver treatment in a way that will be uncommon to most that have been in traditional substance abuse treatments.  Groups and individual sessions will include thought-provoking stories and examples of previous clients experiences over my 15 years of counseling.  I believe that we have more in common than we have differences.

I want every client's experience to be different than anything that they have experienced before at other facilities.  My top priority is to make sure that the treatment from Brooks Behavioral Health Services, LLC will be completely beneficial to the client throughout their process.  We will involve every client through the process from the beginning to the end.  We will make sure at Brooks Behavioral Health Services, LLC that as we work together we will learn your needs, strengths, and desires. 

Brooks Behavioral Health Services, LLC will be committed to your change process.  We will continue to analyze each feedback we receive from you while in treatment.  If we cannot alter our program enough to meet your needs in a timely fashion, we may have to help you find other options that will provide the type of services that will help in your change process.
